The Mood sheepskins are produced in Thailand. Sheepskins are long wool natural shaped rugs with natural balanced shape, pile height is 2" to 2.4". All the sheepskins are easy care and can be dry cleaned or spot cleaned as needed. A state-of-the-art environmentally friendly tanning system, called Eco-Tan, results in better performance on reducing harmful chemicals and recycling waste-water.

Ethical Sourcing/Animal Welfare:
We understand the social concern of using animal skins and pelts. We believe NO sheep should ever be raised for its skin alone. Thus, we strictly require our manufacturers to source sheepskin material from abattoirs and packers as by-product of meat, which is critically different from wild animal fur. Just like leather from cattle hides, which is beef by-product in the meat industry, sheepskin is by-product of lamb meat. All raw skins that abattoirs and packers gather originally come from farmers that raise sheep primarily for meat instead of their skins. Most value of a sheep is derived from selling the meat and only little derived from the sheepskin itself. As the business adheres to humanity and sustainability, THE MOOD team and its business owner does not raise sheep. We strictly require our material suppliers to source sheepskin from farmers that comply with animal welfare policies, which require these farmers to use humane animal treatment in order to prevent animal abuse and animal cruelty.
