Product Materials: Organic buckwheat or millet hulls, covered in a canvas fabric of organic cotton fibers. Professionally made in America. This pillow contains no flame retardants and is chemical free.

All hull pillows are temperate (they do not take on heat in the summer or cold in the winter). Buckwheat hulls ventilate more easily given their large irregular shape. This will make a difference for those who tend to perspire at night and wake up to a damp pillow every morning).

Buckwheat hulls give you support and conform to your body giving you proper spinal alignment. Regular use will reduce muscle tension in your shoulders and neck giving you a better nights sleep. Our pillows are made from certified organic raw materials that are grown and produced in America.

There is a zipper opening for easily adjusting and cleaning the pillow.  Sachi fills it full so you can customize the support level to exactly what you need.

What is the difference between buckwheat and millet hulls?

BOTH PILLOWS ARE EQUALLY FIRM AS WE SLEEP ON THEM; THEY OFFER THE EXACT SAME NECK SUPPORT. THE MAIN DIFFERENCE LIES IN THE TEXTURE OF THE FILLING:

Buckwheat hulls are large hulls that trap a lot of air which is then blown through the pillow when we move in our sleep. Buckwheat hulls rustle when we move. Millet hulls are tiny, they make no sound when they move and the filling feels smooth and velvety.

Millet hulls are not softer than buckwheat hulls, but they do feel more velvety because they are so tiny, round, and smooth.

All hull pillows are temperate (they do not take on heat in the summer or cold in the winter). Buckwheat hulls ventilate more easily given their large irregular shape. This will make a difference for those who tend to perspire at night and wake up to a damp pillow every morning).

Care: Empty all the hulls into an appropriate size bag. Do not wash pillow with hulls inside. Wash on cold setting and air dry. Replace the hulls. Tip use a wide funnel to pour the hulls back into the case. This makes the job a lot easier. Wash the pillow protector on cold and dry on low heat. It will shrink to fit after first wash.

        Great pillows

Bought them months ago and they’re holding up perfectly. Just know there is no liner, meaning if you open the zipper the filling can fall out.

Good support and good for ear cartilage pain

The buckwheat pillow gives good support and it has helped reduce my neck pain somewhat compared to the soft pillow it replaced. I like that I was able to adjust the amount of filling to get it to exactly the height I want. My ear cartilage often hurts when I sleep on my side, so I was concerned that switching to a firmer pillow would make be a problem. On the contrary, I am having far less trouble with ear cartilage pain because I can reach under the pillow and push some of the hulls down toward my neck to make a gap around my ear and also provide extra neck support. The pillow does make a crunching or rustling sound when I move, but I sleep with a white noise machine so I don't really notice it. It is heavy, so it isn't the the best pillow to travel with. I got the small size. I'm 5'10" and I do roll over in my sleep, but I don't toss and turn a lot, and the small has been big enough for me.

        Love these pillows

I really have enjoyed these pillows. I use them daily in my bed as well as my couch. I may get some more. I made some custom envelope style linen covers for them. My only critique would be the zipper. If there was some way to lock the sipper in place to prevent it from opening and getting buckwheat hulls in the bed, that would be awesome. The zipper tends to loosen up after a month or so.

Thank you for the review. We checked with the mfg. and they told us: The zipper has a "pocket" or "garage-as the seamstresses call it" into which the zipper should be "parked." And generally, once there, the zipper does not move, unless the user manually moves it out of this location or it somehow gets pushed out. Often, when customers say that their pillow is leaking, I ask them to check the zipper; and sure enough, it has left its parking place. If it is firmly parked, it should not move. Hope this helps.
